The 76th Annual General Meeting of the Petworth Lawn Tennis Club took place on Saturday 11th November. Michael Crawley, Club Chairman for the past fifteen years, and Honorary Secretary Peter Suart stood down from their roles. Club members acknowledged the commitment and achievements of both men under whose leadership the Club has thrived and it was unanimously agreed that Michael Crawley be appointed lifetime President of the Club.
Club members elected David Thomas KC as the new Chairman and Robert Eadie as Honorary Secretary. They join a well established committee including Grounds Advisor Graham Martin who has overseen the maintenance of Petworth’s two grass and two hard tennis courts for over forty years.
Following the AGM, Club members attended a drinks and supper evening to mark the change of Club Chairman and Secretary. Located on Sheepdown Drive, Petworth Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly, social Club which welcomes new members. To find out more email email: club@petworthtennis.co.uk
